ADMISSION REQUIREMENT AT KAPLAN UNIVERSITY
Kaplan University has an open admission policy. The university has established some specific requirements for admission. An applicant at Kaplan University must meet one of the following standards:
- Applicant should be a high school graduate.
- Applicant should possess a General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
- Applicant should possess a Home Study Certificate or transcript from a Home Study Program that is equivalent to High School Level and is recognized by the student's home state.
- Applicant must present evidence of high school graduation or equivalent must be presented to Kaplan in one of the following terms:
- Certified copy of an original high school diploma.
- Copy of High School transcript indicating the date of high school graduation.
- GED certificate or official notification that a GED has earned.
- College transcript indicating the date of high school graduation.

FINANCIAL AID
Kaplan University offers Prior-Learning Scholarships to qualifying first-time enrollees who have already earned some college credits. Applicant are eligible for both Pell grants and Federal Student loans. Kaplan University helps qualified students to apply and receive Title IV Federal Financial Aid for many degree programs. Kaplan University also has other scholarships and graduates for students who are enrolling for the first time that could result in savings of $12,750. These scholarships grants can amount to $250 to $750 per term. Kaplan University also offers deduction of tuition rates for the members of military. It also grants service member college for some of the military education that they have received in the service.
